Metal music and Classical music Linked?

Studies have been done on metal music fans and classical music fans. What they found is that fans of metal music have the same psychological behaviour as fans of classical music. Instead of being violent and crazy, they could instead be calm and collected. This same study found also that metal fans tend to have an overall trait of creativity and they tend to be at ease with themselves, much like classical fans, if not identical. The stereotyping of these music fans is the only thing that truly makes them seem like polar opposites. Many metal fans can listen to classical and get the same kind of enjoyment as they do when listening to metal. This has even caused a new sub-genre of metal called Neo-classical Metal, which is metal music that's been influenced by classical music. This study was done by a research team interviewing 36,000 people from six different countries about what music that they listened to. Some people think that classical music fans are more sophisticated because classical music has a larger history.
